Senior Partner & License Manager

Lisbon IT Campus - Swiss Post
Full-time
Permanent employee

Function Description / Professional Tasks

Own the intersection of technology, finance, and strategic partnerships.

We’re looking for a Senior Partner & License Manager who thrives in complexity and brings clarity to software licensing at scale. In this role, you’ll drive our software asset strategy, optimize multimillion-euro licensing investments, and act as a trusted partner across IT, Finance, Procurement, and Legal.

If you enjoy turning licensing complexity into business value, negotiating with top-tier vendors, and influencing strategic decisions — this is your seat at the table.

What you can do

− Drive end-to-end license strategy:
You own the full lifecycle of software licenses — from sourcing and procurement to optimization, compliance, and renewal. You ensure we stay audit-ready while maximizing value from every contract.
− Shape strategic partner relationships:
You build and manage strong relationships with IT vendors, acting as the go-to expert for negotiations, escalations, and long-term value creation.
− Optimize software asset management (SAM):
You maintain full transparency over our license landscape, ensuring accurate data, clean entitlement tracking, and continuous optimization across SaaS, subscription, and enterprise licensing models.
− Turn data into business impact:
You translate licensing data into clear financial insights — supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization. You make complex topics actionable for leadership.
− Elevate processes & tools:
You continuously improve how we manage licenses and partners.
− Act as a cross-functional connector:
You operate at the intersection of IT, Finance, Procurement, and Legal — aligning stakeholders, driving decisions, and ensuring transparency across the organization.

Personal Skills and Education

What you bring
− Proven expertise in license & partner management: You have several years of hands-on experience in software asset management (SAM/ITAM) in a complex environment and know how to navigate enterprise-scale licensing landscapes.
Deep understanding of licensing models — you don’t just know the terms, you’ve managed them in practice)
− You’ve worked with major software vendors and know how to balance compliance, cost, and strategic value.
− You’re comfortable with budgets, forecasts, and TCO analysis — and can translate technical data into financial insights that drive decisions.
− Experience with SAM tools and procurement systems is a strong plus.
− You simplify complexity, influence stakeholders, and work in a structured, independent way while being a strong team player.
