Platform Engineer

Function Description / Professional Tasks

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Team, focusing on the operation and continuous improvement of our container and infrastructure platforms. This role combines hands-on operations, platform engineering, and proactive optimization across both on-premises and cloud environments.

 

What you can do

− Operate, maintain, and continuously improve OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Terraform platforms across on-prem and cloud environments

− Ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, analysis, and tuning

− Handle incident and problem management, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis

− Plan, coordinate, and implement changes and releases in line with change management processes

− Support daily operations, including system health checks and team coordination

− Participate in on-call rotations (24/7 every 4-6 weeks) to ensure platform reliability

− Collaborate in agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, PI planning) within the team and ART

Personal Skills and Education

What you bring

− Solid experience with container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes

− Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform

− Experience working with cloud and/or on-premises environments

− Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes

− Hands-on mindset with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

− Familiarity with Oracle environments is a plus

− Experience working in Agile/Scrum setups

− Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

− Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations

 

Nice to have

− Experience with platform automation and CI/CD pipelines

− Monitoring and observability tools knowledge

− Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments

 
Language Skills
− English oral and written
− Optional: German oral (and written)

Additional Comments

− Willingness to travel
− Hybrid Model: One day a week @office (mandatory)
