Function Description / Professional Tasks

At IT Logistic Services Operations, we build and operate the systems that enable our employees to deliver millions of letters and parcels on time, every day. We are transforming our personnel planning landscape by replacing legacy tools with modern, in-house developed solutions. At the same time, we are introducing innovative systems that automatically evaluate and track working hours and activities based on time stamps and metadata.

As a Lead Fullstack Developer, you will play a critical role in driving this transformation, combining technical excellence with strong leadership to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.

What you can do:
− Take technical ownership of the product across the full lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and operations
− Lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable fullstack architectures
− Drive engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps ways of working
− Act as a technical leader and mentor, empowering developers to grow and perform at their best
− Guide the team in making sound architectural and technology decisions
− Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful product delivery
− Ensure high quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical systems
− Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and knowledge sharing
− Explore and promote the use of AI-driven development approaches within the team

Personal Skills and Education

What you bring:
− 5-10 years of professional experience, including experience in a technical leadership role
− Strong background as a Fullstack Developer, with deep expertise in both backend and frontend technologies
− Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers within agile, DevOps teams
− Solid hands-on experience with: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, Relational and NoSQL databases; Distributed systems (e.g., Kafka, caching, object storage); Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong experience working with AWS in production environments, including: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, GitOps, ArgoCD, Observability tools (Open Telemetry, AWS X-Ray, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
− Deep understanding of: System design and architecture, CI/CD pipelines and automation, Monitoring, logging, and system reliability
− Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team development and collaboration
− A forward-looking mindset, with interest in AI and the future of software engineering

Education
− University/technical college degree in computer science or comparable.  

Language Skills
− English oral and written
− Optional: German oral (and written)

− Willingness to travel
− Hybrid Model: One day a week @office (mandatory)
