Function Description / Professional Tasks

We are looking for a highly skilled ICT System Engineer to plan, implement, and operate robust ICT platforms that support business-critical systems. In this role, you will work across the full infrastructure lifecycle — from specification and implementation to monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, performance, and service quality within a modern hybrid infrastructure environment.

What You Can Do
− Specify and evaluate infrastructure components for ICT platforms
− Configure and implement complete ICT platform solutions
− Plan and execute platform migrations
− Analyze faults and error conditions across the infrastructure landscape
− Initiate and monitor measures to resolve disruptions
− Define key criteria for service level monitoring
− Establish and maintain escalation procedures
− Maintain accurate and up-to-date system technical documentation
− Support platform stability through proactive operations
− Participate in the on-call rotation

Personal Skills and Education

What You Bring
− Strong experience in ICT infrastructure engineering
− Hands-on expertise in VMware environments (enterprise scale)
− Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
− Structured, independent, and delivery-oriented mindset
− Experience working in high-availability environments
− Willingness to participate in on-call duty
− Development or automation skills in TypeScript
− Automation-first mindset

Technical Stack
− Virtualization & Automation: VMware vSphere, VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)
− Infrastructure & Storage: Cisco UCS Manager, Cisco MDS SAN, Pure Storage
− Cloud-Native / Platform (Nice to Have): Kubernetes operations, Argo CD

Education
− University/technical college degree in computer science or comparable.

Language Skills
− English oral and written
− Optional: German oral (and written)

Additional Comments

− Willingness to travel
− Hybrid Model: One day a week @office (mandatory)
