Function Description / Professional Tasks

​We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate shared Kubernetes platforms that empower Swiss Post application teams to deploy and run their services reliably and securely.

You will work in a modern cloud-native environment, driving automation, platform scalability, and continuous improvement while contributing to cost optimization and security hardening.

What You Can Do:
− Plan, engineer, and operate shared Kubernetes platforms (EKS & AKS)
− Enable application teams to seamlessly deploy and run workloads on the platform
− Maintain and evolve a curated set of platform add-ons
− Implement customer and internal feature requests
− Optimize platform performance and cloud costs
− Contribute to security hardening and best practices
− Support audits and compliance initiatives
− Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability

Personal Skills and Education

What You Bring
− Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes at enterprise scale
− Experience with AWS and/or Azure
− Proven GitOps mindset and automation-first approach
− Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native tooling
− Hands-on experience with the following tech stack:Terraform, YAML, Golang, GitHub & GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Helm, Kustomize, Kyverno, Karpenter, Cilium, Grafana
− Structured, independent, and delivery-oriented working style
− Willingness to participate in on-call duty

Education
− University/technical college degree in computer science or comparable.  

Language Skills
− English oral and written
− Optional: German oral (and written)

Additional Comments

− Willingness to travel
− Hybrid Model: One day a week @office (mandatory)
